DANSSpår is a project that will make it possible for more people to meet dance as an art expression at unexpected places.
Through a collaboration between Gnosjö municipality, Jönköping County region and dance artist duo Helena Franzén and Håkan Jelk created 3 dance films on site in Gnosjö’s surroundings.
The three films can only be seen at the place where they are created. With the help of a QR code on their mobile phone the visitor can watch the films.
Three stories bind these films together. These stories are based on interviews with people who live and work in Gnosjö. The stories are about memories of individuals that are strongly connected to specific places, accessible to the public. The stories can be personal; about meetings, experiences, memories from a place that has had a special impact or perhaps has completely changed their lives.
Sinikka Neuhaus, doctor of theology and senior lecturer in educational science in Lund and Elizaveta Penkova, dancer with an international background, participate in the work of making these stories.
The importance of the place is something that has always interested Helena Franzén and Håkan Jelk. Sinikka Neuhaus has formulated thoughts of the importance of places for us humans. Places that carry memories, places that create change, places that take on a new meaning. Places that carry different memories from different people.
